How to move from confusion to clarity

When was the last time you felt ‘sluggish’? You know how it feels, right? It was like trying to walk when your legs are chained.

Here the mind is chained. It does not allow you to get out of the same old thoughts. Nothing new. Nothing different. The same old stuff keep coming back. Stale bread. Old recycled jokes.

You feel stuck. Restless. Even frustrated. So what do you do?

One trick that has worked for me for over 30 years now is this. It is “Phone a friend”. It is a tried and tested technique. And it always works for me.

Choose the friend carefully. You don’t want a friend doling out prescriptions to you. You want someone who will help you open your mind. And look at things afresh.

This is what happened to me yesterday. I was feeling a bit listless. Low on energy. No enthusiasm. No new ideas.

That is when I called a former colleague. We got on to a zoom call. We exchanged notes on what was happening in our lives. At work. Home. Children. In my case grand children too.
